Event Description:

This Arabic Concert marks the end of our TWENTY FIFTH season! Our set this year will be focusing on the Arabic vocal aesthetic, with an emphasis on compositions rich in the exploration of maqam. Come and bring your family and friends — May 20 at 7 pm.
Our show is taking place in conjunction with an exhibit and lecture by renowned calligrapher Nihad Dukhan. His work will be displayed at the Reva and David Center for the Arts until May 31. He will also be presenting a lecture on May 21 at The Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures.

A tribute to one of the most prolific and genre bending composers of the Middle East/North Africa region in the last century, the Lebanese composer Ziad Rahbani. We celebrate his legacy with a selection of his iconic songs and pieces in the arrangements and instrumentation with which they were originally performed or recorded.
